To amend titles II and XVIII of the Social Security Act to eliminate the disability insurance benefits waiting period for individuals with disabilities, and for other purposes.

Condemning the undemocratic attacks on Brazil’s Government institutions and supporting the free will of the Brazilian people as expressed in Brazil’s recent Presidential election.

To regulate assault weapons, to ensure that the right to keep and bear arms is not unlimited, and for other purposes.

Expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that the United Nations Security Council should immediately impose an arms embargo against the military of Burma.

To require a background check for every firearm sale.

To amend title 38, United States Code, to improve certain programs of the Department of Veterans Affairs for home- and community-based services for veterans, and for other purposes.

To ensure affordable abortion coverage and care for every person, and for other purposes.

To amend title XIX of the Social Security Act to provide for a demonstration project under the Medicaid program for political subdivisions of States to provide medical assistance for the expansion population under such program, and for other purposes.

To amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to provide for coverage of dental, vision, and hearing care under the Medicare program.

To provide for the admission of the State of Washington, D.C. into the Union.

To address the fundamental injustice, cruelty, brutality, and inhumanity of slavery in the United States and the 13 American colonies between 1619 and 1865 and to establish a commission to study and consider a national apology and proposal for reparations for the institution of slavery, its subsequent de jure and de facto racial and economic discrimination against African Americans, and the impact of these forces on living African Americans, to make recommendations to the Congress on appropriate remedies, and for other purposes.
