Sunshine Protection Act of 2025

To authorize sanctions relating to the production and distribution of illicit synthetic narcotics by the People’s Republic of China.

To establish requirements and impose civil penalties on certain entities of the People’s Republic of China that do not employ appropriate safeguards to prevent fentanyl trafficking.

To designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 108 North Main Street in Bucoda, Washington, as the Mayor Rob Gordon Post Office.

To provide compensation flexibility to address retention and hiring issues at the Bonneville Power Administration.

To amend the Energy Act of 2020 to include critical materials in the definition of critical mineral, and for other purposes.

Honoring the service and sacrifice of America’s veterans on Veterans Day, 2024.

To establish a process to expedite the review of appeals of certain decisions by the Department of the Interior.

To amend the Department of Energy Organization Act to secure midstream processing of critical materials, and for other purposes.

To direct the Director of the Bureau of Land Management and the Chief of the United States Forest Service to conduct a study of onshore mineral values and the Director of the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management to conduct a study of offshore mineral values.

Making emergency supplemental appropriations for disaster relief for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2024, and for other purposes.

To reauthorize the Bureau of Reclamation to provide cost-shared funding to implement the endangered and threatened fish recovery programs for the Upper Colorado and San Juan River Basins.

Supporting the designation of the week of September 23 through September 27, 2024, as National Clean Energy Week.

To address the public safety issues and environmental destruction currently impacting Federal lands along the southern border, enhance border security through the construction of navigable roads on Federal lands along the southern border, provide U.S. Customs and Border Protection access to Federal lands to improve the safety and effectiveness of enforcement activities, allow States to place temporary barriers on Federal land to secure the southern border, reduce the massive trash accumulations and environmental degradation along the southern border, reduce the cultivation of illegal cannabis on Federal lands, mitigate wildland fires caused by illegal immigration, and prohibit migrant housing on Federal lands.

To amend the Endangered Species Act of 1973 to optimize conservation through resource prioritization, incentivize wildlife conservation on private lands, provide for greater incentives to recover listed species, create greater transparency and accountability in recovering listed species, and limit reasonable and prudent measures.

To designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 108 North Main Street in Bucoda, Washington, as the Mayor Rob Gordan Post Office.

To amend the securities laws to require certain disclosures and reports with respect to the exposure of issuers to China and the threat of sudden loss of market access between the United States and China, and for other purposes.

To provide for certain reforms pertaining to Chevron deference.

To nullify Executive Order 14072 and prohibit the Secretary of Agriculture and the Secretary of the Interior from implementing, administering, or enforcing such Executive Order or any substantially similar executive order.

To designate the bald eagle as the national bird.
