Rural Obstetrics Readiness Act

PREEMIE Reauthorization Act of 2025

To direct the Secretary of Health and Human Services to establish the Health Sector Cybersecurity Coordination Center, and for other purposes.

To expand reporting on subcontracts and subgrants made under Federal awards, and for other purposes.

To direct the Secretary of Agriculture to establish and administer a pilot program to provide grants to support Food is Medicine programs, and for other purposes.

To amend chapter 44 of title 18, United States Code, to prohibit the sale or other disposition of a firearm to, and the possession, shipment, transportation, or receipt of a firearm by, certain classes of high-risk individuals.

To amend the Public Health Service Act to establish certain duties for pharmacies to ensure provision of Food and Drug Administration-approved contraception and medication related to contraception, and for other purposes.

Expressing support for the designation of June 7, 2024, as National Gun Violence Awareness Day and June 2024 as National Gun Violence Awareness Month.

To improve obstetric emergency care.

To require the Federal Trade Commission to include in the report of the Commission under the Elder Abuse Prevention and Prosecution Act certain information relating to scams disproportionately impacting seniors during emergencies, and for other purposes.

To establish an Interagency Task Force to examine the conditions and experiences of Black women and girls in education, economic development, healthcare, labor and employment, housing, justice and civil rights, to promote community-based methods for mitigating and addressing harm and ensuring accountability, and to study societal effects on Black women and girls, and for other purposes.

To amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to expand the availability of medical nutrition therapy services under the Medicare program.

To direct the Federal Communications Commission to establish a program to make grants available to States to inform Medicaid enrollees, SNAP participants, and low-income residents of potential eligibility for the Affordable Connectivity and Lifeline programs of the Commission, and for other purposes.

To improve Federal efforts with respect to the prevention of maternal mortality, and for other purposes.

To require the Secretary of Health and Human Services, in coordination with the Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, to submit to the Congress an annual report on the effects of gun violence on public health.

To amend title III of the Public Health Service Act to reauthorize grants to address dental workforce needs.

Expressing support for the designation of June 2, 2023, as National Gun Violence Awareness Day and June 2023 as National Gun Violence Awareness Month.

To direct the Federal Trade Commission to conduct a study and submit to Congress a report on unfair or deceptive acts or practices that may be prevalent in the advertising or marketing of firearms and to issue regulations to prohibit unfair or deceptive acts or practices related to the advertising or marketing of firearms, and for other purposes.

To direct the Secretary of Health and Human Services, acting through the Director of the National Institutes of Health, to take certain steps to increase clinical trial diversity, and for other purposes.

To amend the Consumer Product Safety Act to remove the exclusion of pistols, revolvers, and other firearms from the definition of consumer product in order to permit the issuance of safety standards for such articles by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
