Recognizing former Texas State Representative Al Edwards as the father of Juneteenth and showing appreciation for successfully passing Texas House Bill 1016, making Texas the first State to recognize Juneteenth (June 19) as an official State holiday.

To amend the Federal Deposit Insurance Act to exempt community banks from any special assessment of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation caused by the use of the systemic risk authority under that Act, and for other purposes.

To amend the Federal Deposit Insurance Act to require reports on the use of the systemic risk authority applicable to winding up a failed insured depository institution, and for other purposes.

To rename the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act, and for other purposes.

To preempt State prohibitions on real estate purchases by foreign citizens, and for other purposes.

Promoting and supporting the goals and ideals of the Fair Housing Act and recognizing April 2023 as Fair Housing Month, which includes bringing attention to the discrimination faced by everyday Americans in the United States in housing and housing-related transactions on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, familial status, disability, and religion.

To amend the Consumer Financial Protection Act of 2010 to provide for whistleblower incentives and protection.

To posthumously award a historic Congressional Gold Medal, collectively, to Africans and their descendants enslaved within our country from August 20, 1619, to December 6, 1865.

Recognizing and celebrating the significance of Black History Month.

To direct the Election Assistance Commission to carry out a pilot program under which the Commission shall provide funds to local educational agencies for initiatives to provide voter registration information to secondary school students in the 12th grade.

To amend title 38, United States Code, to direct the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to establish the Merchant Mariner Equity Compensation Fund to provide benefits to certain individuals who served in the United States merchant marine (including the Army Transport Service and the Naval Transport Service) during World War II.
