Recognizing the importance of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 on the lives of individuals with disabilities and calling for further action to advance access, opportunity, and equity for individuals with disabilities.

Expressing support for the designation of the week of September 18 through September 24, 2023, as “Rail Safety Week” in the United States and supporting the goals and ideals of Rail Safety Week to reduce highway-rail grade crossing and trespasser-related incidents, fatalities, and injuries, reduce derailments, improve the safe transportation of hazardous materials by rail, and prevent rail worker fatalities.

To provide targeted funding for States and other eligible entities through the Social Services Block Grant program to address the increased burden that maintaining the health and hygiene of infants and toddlers, medically complex children, and low-income adults or adults with disabilities who rely on adult incontinence materials and supplies place on families in need, the resultant adverse health effects on children and families, and the limited child care options available for infants and toddlers who lack sufficient diapers and diapering supplies, and for other purposes.

Designating the week of September 25 through September 29, 2023, as National Hazing Awareness Week.

To prevent harassment at institutions of higher education, and for other purposes.

To direct the Federal Trade Commission to require impact assessments of automated decision systems and augmented critical decision processes, and for other purposes.

To amend the Help America Vote Act of 2002 to require States to provide for same day voter registration.

Designating September 2023 as National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

To permit employees to request changes to their work schedules without fear of retaliation and to ensure that employers consider these requests, and to require employers to provide more predictable and stable schedules for employees in certain occupations with evidence of unpredictable and unstable scheduling practices that negatively affect employees, and for other purposes.

Designating September 2023 as National Voting Rights Month.

To improve voter access to the ballot box through automatic voter registration, and for other purposes.

To amend the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 to clarify that a State may not use an individual’s failure to vote as the basis for initiating the procedures provided under such Act for the removal of the individual from the official list of registered voters in the State on the grounds that the individual has changed residence, and for other purposes.

To extend protections to part-time workers in the areas of family and medical leave and to ensure equitable treatment in the workplace.

Designating the week beginning on September 11, 2023, as National Hispanic-Serving Institutions Week.

To award a Congressional Gold Medal to the United States Army Dustoff crews of the Vietnam War, collectively, in recognition of their extraordinary heroism and life-saving actions in Vietnam.

To increase child care options for working families and support child care providers.

Supporting the designation of September 15, 2023, as National Concussion Awareness Day.

To restore protections for Social Security, Railroad retirement, and Black Lung benefits from administrative offset.

To amend the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 and the Portal-to-Portal Act of 1947 to prevent wage theft and assist in the recovery of stolen wages, to authorize the Secretary of Labor to administer grants to prevent wage and hour violations, and for other purposes.

Designating the week beginning September 10, 2023, as National Direct Support Professionals Recognition Week.
