Commending Big Brothers-Big Sisters of America, the oldest and largest youth mentoring organization in the United States, on its 120th anniversary and the role it has played in empowering millions of young people on a path to graduate with a plan for their future through mentorship that will last a lifetime.

To amend title 38, United States Code, to modify authorities relating to the collective bargaining of employees in the Veterans Health Administration.

Expressing support for the designation of September 2024 as Sickle Cell Disease Awareness Month in order to educate communities across the United States about sickle cell disease and the need for research, early detection methods, effective treatments, and preventative care programs with respect to complications from sickle cell disease and conditions related to sickle cell disease.

To direct the Secretary of Health and Human Services to study and report on the relationship between hair straighteners and uterine cancer, particularly among women of color.

To amend the National Apprenticeship Act in order to increase and expand the national apprenticeship system to include the immediate recruitment, employment, and on-the-job earn as you learn training of young African Americans, and to promote the development of equitable hiring standards necessary to safeguard the diversity of apprentices, and for other purposes.

Supporting the designation of the week of September 16 through September 20, 2024, as Malnutrition Awareness Week.

To award a Congressional Gold Medal to former President Jimmy Carter in recognition of his service to the Nation.

Expressing support for designation of the week of September 15 through 21, 2024, as National Adult Education and Family Literacy Week.

Expressing support for and honoring September 17, 2024, as Constitution Day.

Expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that all young children and families should have access to high-quality, affordable child care and early education.

Condemning the horrific shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia, recognizing the victims, and expressing condolences and support to their families and their communities.

To amend title 38, United States Code, to authorize certain heath care professionals employed by the Department of Veterans Affairs to deliver, distribute, or dispense to veterans certain controlled medications via telemedicine under certain conditions, and for other purposes.

To designate the U.S. National Poultry Research Center of the Department of Agriculture located in Athens, Georgia, as the Abit Massey Poultry Research Center.

To amend the Specialty Crops Competitiveness Act of 2004 to require the Secretary of Agriculture to establish a pilot program to provide recovery payments to producers of seasonal and perishable crops that experience low prices caused by imports, and for other purposes.

Recognizing the continued success of the Food for Peace Act.

Expressing support for the designation of July 10th as Journeyman Lineworkers Recognition Day.
