That the House of Representatives— supports the designation of National Financial Planning Month to increase public awareness about the importance of financial planning and the many benefits that thorough financial planning can bring to individuals, families, and communities; and urges the people of the United States to observe National Financial Planning Month with appropriate programs and activities, including— public seminars or workshops on budgeting, saving, use of credit, investing, and retirement planning; financial education curricula in schools and colleges; promoting access to financial planning services; generally improving the financial literacy of individuals of all ages; and supporting and promoting pro bono financial planning initiatives to provide no-cost financial guidance to underserved and economically vulnerable individuals and families.
