That the House of Representatives— condemns in the strongest possible terms this horrific political assassination, which occurred at Utah Valley University, of Charlie Kirk, on September 10, 2025; offers its heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Charlie Kirk, who was killed in the attack; recognizes the service of the security team, first responders, and the health care professionals who jumped into action; reaffirms the bedrock principle of American democracy and representative government, which is memorialized in the First Amendment to the Constitution of the right of the people peaceably to assemble; and stands firm in its belief in a democracy in which all can participate and in which intimidation and threats of violence cannot silence the voice of any American.
