That the House of Representatives— condemns the senseless act of violence in New York City that tragically claimed the lives of 3 civilians and NYPD police officer Didarul Islam; honors the lives of the victims who were killed in the attack and expresses support and condolences for the families and loved ones of the victims; commends the bravery exhibited by Didarul Islam, Aland Etienne, and the entirety of the NYPD for the heroism they displayed in responding to and neutralizing the shooter; and condemns divisive rhetoric and violence against Federal, State, and local law enforcement officers and urges lawmakers to redouble their commitment to backing the blue.
