Section 1
1. Short title This resolution may be cited as the Fair Representation Amendment.
Section 2
2. Authorizing committee actions Within 6 months after the date of adoption of this resolution, the committees listed in subsection (b) shall review laws within their jurisdiction and submit to the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform changes in those laws sufficient to eliminate excessive Executive Branch discretion in the application of those laws. The following committees shall comply with subsection (a): Committee on Agriculture. Committee on Armed Services. Committee on the Budget. Committee on Energy and Commerce. Committee on Education and the Workforce. Committee on Financial Services. Committee on Foreign Affairs. Committee on the Judiciary. Committee on Natural Resources. Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. Committee on Science, Space, and Technology. Committee on Small Business. Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. Committee on Veterans Affairs. Committee on Ways and Means. Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
Section 3
3. Legislative procedure Upon receiving all the recommendations made pursuant to section 1, the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform shall expeditiously report legislation carrying out all such recommendations without any substantive revision. The short title of this legislation shall be the Article One Restoration Act.
