Section 1
1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Enhancing Intelligence Collection on Foreign Drug Traffickers Act of 2024.
Section 2
2. Inclusion of counternarcotics in definition of foreign intelligence Section 101(e)(1) of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 (50 U.S.C. 1801) is amended— in subparagraph (B), by striking ; or and inserting a semicolon; and by adding at the end the following new subparagraph: international production, distribution, or financing of illicit synthetic drugs, opioids, cocaine, or other drugs driving overdose deaths, or precursors of any aforementioned; or (D)international production, distribution, or financing of illicit synthetic drugs, opioids, cocaine, or other drugs driving overdose deaths, or precursors of any aforementioned; or.
