2. Common repository for supplier information Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy shall establish a repository of information commonly required for the initial vetting by the Department of Defense of contractors applying to be qualified to supply products or services to the Department. The Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy shall develop the repository required under subsection (a) in conjunction with or as part of other efforts of an Office of Small Business Programs of the Department of Defense to provide market research, supply chain resiliency, cybersecurity, and secure cloud tools to entities furnishing procurement technical assistance under chapter 388 of title 10, United States Code, and small manufacturers. The Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy may enter into a public-private partnership or cooperative agreement with one or more contractors of the Department of Defense in establishing the repository required by subsection (a) if the Assistant Secretary determines that such repository— would reduce duplicative efforts or reduce the time spent by potential suppliers in providing similar information to multiple prime contractors; or would streamline or reduce the cost of a prime contractor qualifying a supplier for products or services to be provided to the Department.
