1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Stop Trump’s Abuse of Power Act.

Modification of authority to use Armed Forces to enforce Federal authority Section 252 of title 10, United States Code, is amended— by inserting (a) In general.— before Whenever; and by adding at the end the following new subsection: Notwithstanding subsection (a), the President may not deploy a member of a regular component of the Armed Forces serving on active duty within a State or territory of the United States to respond to a peaceful protest or demonstration except upon the request of the governor or chief executive of the State or territory.
