1. Prohibition on reduction, elimination, or suspension of funding for land-grant colleges and universities The Secretary of Agriculture, or any other Federal official, may not take any action to reduce, eliminate, or suspend funding for land-grant colleges and universities, unless such reduction, elimination, or suspension is specifically authorized by an Act of Congress. In this section, the term land-grant colleges and universities has the meaning given such term in section 1404 of the National Agricultural Research, Extension, and Teaching Policy Act of 1977 (7 U.S.C. 3103).
