Section 1
1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Secure Our Border and Our Streets Act of 2023.

2. Reporting requirements related to the immigration status of individuals convicted of crimes Beginning in the first fiscal year that begins after the date of enactment of this Act, in order to be eligible to receive Federal funds from the Department of Justice, a State shall— document the immigration status of each individual arrested in that State; and submit to the Attorney General, on an annual basis, information on the immigration status of each individual convicted of a crime under the laws of the State during the previous fiscal year. Not later than the end of the first fiscal year that begins after the date of enactment of this Act and annually thereafter, the Attorney General shall submit to Congress a report that contains the information reported to the Attorney General under subsection (a).
