Section 1
1. Short title This Act may be cited as the State Strategic Stockpile Act of 2025.
Section 2
2. Reauthorization of pilot program to support State medical stockpiles Section 319F–2(i) of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 247d–6b(i)) is amended— in paragraph (2)(B)(i)— in subclause (I), by striking and 2024 and inserting through 2025; and in subclause (II), by striking 2025 and inserting 2026; in paragraph (4)— in subparagraph (G), by striking ; and at the end and inserting a semicolon; by redesignating subparagraph (H) as subparagraph (I); by inserting after subparagraph (G) the following: facilitate the sharing of best practices among States within a consortia of States in receipt of funding related to establishing and maintaining a stockpile of medical products; and in subparagraph (I), as so redesignated, by striking State efforts and inserting State or regional efforts; by redesignating paragraphs (5) through (9) as paragraphs (6) through (10), respectively; by inserting after paragraph (4) the following: An entity in receipt of an award under paragraph (1), in carrying out the activities under this subsection, shall coordinate with appropriate health care entities, health officials, and emergency management officials within the jurisdiction of such State or States. in paragraph (10), as so redesignated, by striking fiscal years 2023 and 2024 and inserting fiscal years 2026 through 2030. Section 2409(b) of the PREVENT Pandemics Act (Public Law 117–328) is amended— in paragraph (2), by striking ; and and inserting a semicolon; in paragraph (3), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and; and by adding at the end the following: the impact of any regional stockpiling approaches carried out under subsection (i)(1) of section 319F–2 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 247d–6b). (H) facilitate the sharing of best practices among States within a consortia of States in receipt of funding related to establishing and maintaining a stockpile of medical products; and ; and (5) Coordination An entity in receipt of an award under paragraph (1), in carrying out the activities under this subsection, shall coordinate with appropriate health care entities, health officials, and emergency management officials within the jurisdiction of such State or States. ; and (4) the impact of any regional stockpiling approaches carried out under subsection (i)(1) of section 319F–2 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 247d–6b). .
