Section 1
1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Tribal Climate Health Assurance Act of 2025.
Section 2
2. Climate Ready Tribes Initiative Part B of title III of the Public Health Service Act is amended by inserting after section 317V (42 U.S.C. 247b–24) the following new section: The Secretary, acting through the Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in coordination with the National Indian Health Board, shall implement the Climate Ready Tribes Initiative for the following purposes: Translating climate change science to inform Tribal governments, health departments, and communities. Creating decision-support tools to build capacity to prepare for climate change. Serving as a credible leader in planning and preparing for the public health impacts of climate change. Identifying, assessing, and taking action to mitigate climate-related health threats. Sharing relevant materials and resources, including information about funding and other opportunities. To carry out this section, there is authorized to be appropriated $110,000,000 for fiscal year 2026 and each fiscal year thereafter.
