Section 1
1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Mayorkas Must Fly Coach Until We Secure the Border Act.
Section 2
2. Prohibition Notwithstanding any other provision of law, neither Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro N. Mayorkas nor any officer or official of the Office of the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security may use a Federal executive aircraft to fly for official work. Secretary Mayorkas and any other such officer or official shall fly commercial aircraft for official work until such time as— Secretary Mayorkas submits to Congress a plan to— reduce to fiscal year 2020 numbers U.S. Customs and Border Protection encounters and apprehensions of aliens who have unlawfully crossed the border; place 90 percent of U.S. Border Patrol agents deployed, as of the date of the enactment of this Act, in the field in duties such as patrol, rather than administrative duties such as transport, processing duties, and hospital watch; and offer financial support and other resources support for local communities and governments, in consultation with stakeholders; and the condition specified in paragraph (1)(A) has been achieved.
